The Wild Plum

While in Gatlinburg, we went to the Wild Plum Tearoom for lunch. This lovely place is happily situated on the Arts and Crafts trail with a (currently) dry creek bed running next to, and beneath, it. It is a log cabin tea room.

Aaaaah, that's my style: logs, lace, and tea cups! Makes me look forward to the day when we get our log home built and I get to decorate it in much the same fashion.

We had a relaxing lunch while there. It was so good, in fact, that I bought the tea room's cook book before we left. Simple ingredients made into luscious fare:

This looks very nice. I think it's just the place for Jeff to take me when we take our next weekend getaway!

That place looks lovely, Amy, what a special treat. I love log cabins, too; I've saved two issues of Log Cabin Homes for over a decade with pictures of my someday dream log cabin. How exciting that you guys are actually planning to build one! We would love to someday, too. Blessings to you all!

I love tea houses that feel like home. Obviously this one was like that for you. I'm thrilled when I find a gem. Thanks for sharing.

And you didn't invite me??? Ah...what a heavenly time you must have had. James and I went to Gatlinburg 13 years ago. He was there on a business trip, so we had to stay in a boring old hotel. Cabins in the mountain are more my style. :-) Maybe next time!
